OK so I have now been a broadcaster with Melbourne's 3RRR FM for four yearsbelieve it or not - I am currently doing RRR's Wednesday drive shift, filling in for Richard Moffat while he chills for a bit. 3RRR is one of the most revered public radio stations in the world and is one of the foundation stones of independent culture and thought in Melbourne. Next week is our station's annual Radiothon, which is the time of the year that we ask our regular listeners to pitch in with some cash to keep the station running. Half of the station's operational funding comes from this one week subscriber drive. I just want to say a public big mega congrats to one of my best mates, who is really "going places" right now. I'm super proud of this gangly Belgian. I'm looking forward to playing as part of his 10-piece live band at ridiculous venues all around this country, starting next weekend at the Sydney Opera House. This guy. So hot right now. Going places.
